Adjust the type of chemicals to reduce the turbidity of the effluent from the pretreatment system.

The main process flow of reverse osmosis in advanced wastewater treatment is as follows

Wastewater pretreatment → Raw water tank → Multi media filter → Activated carbon filter → Security filter → RO → Desalination water tank → Water point

Fault cause analysis

1. If PAC is not adjusted in a timely manner when the incoming water quality changes significantly, it will appear as a yellow viscous substance due to excessive addition to the security filter element, and black when the amount added is insufficient.

2. Excessive addition of reducing agents can cause membrane fouling and reduce water yield.

3. The high-dose addition of membrane scale inhibitors will increase the operating pressure drop of RO, which is detrimental to its operation.

4. Insufficient hydrochloric acid dosage cannot timely reduce the pH, and the pre-treatment agent may indirectly affect the security filter element and RO membrane, causing filter clogging and membrane fouling.

Solution

Adjustment of medication:

1. Adjust the type of chemicals to reduce the turbidity of the effluent from the pretreatment system. After conducting a beaker experiment, change the PAC to PAFC to effectively ensure that the effluent turbidity is below 2NTU.

2. Adjust the dosing process to ensure an appropriate amount of dosing, providing a guarantee for the stable operation of pretreatment

3. By conducting laboratory tests and tracking operations, adjust the dosage of PAM to the optimal dosage. To ensure optimal dosage, it is required to ensure the curing time of the coagulant aid.

4. By analyzing the membrane pollutants and the operating parameters of the membrane system, adjust the dosage of the reducing agent to the optimal ratio, replace the scale inhibitor with Jiach-MSIT-401, and calculate the optimal dosage.

5. Add hydrochloric acid injection point at the inlet of the multi-media filter.
